OK. I want to know whose bright idea it was to get cats. Come on, own up. Now they have discovered that they like people and our company it is impossible to stop them purring. And at 0200 hrs a cat purring in your ear is a very loud thing and not conducive to a good nights sleep.
{Bonus point if you know what the picture is of}

a steam engine?? Turbine?? Am I even close?
looks like motor generators to me...especially when I hover my mouse over it ;-)
Oh you cheat....
isn't an electric motor also a generator, depending on which way you plug the wires?.
back to cats, they do have this annoying "I'm awake at 02:30, so so should you be" attitude. mine even learned how to open the bedroom door between them when I shut them out, so now I just give up and turn over and try to ignore them. or keep a handy water spray thing (mist-er thingy for house plants) to give them a shot between the eyes which normally encourages them to desist :)
Half points liz. Would have been more impressed if you said where. They are the motor generators at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. They produce enough power to run 800,000 toasters.
Why do they need 800,000 toasters in a laboratory? Just asking....
Late night parties of course
Lol! Why did I just know that Sally was going to ask that question?
