Whoops, it would appear that Woolies haven't been employing movie buffs. At least, so you would have to think after hearing that they were selling
a bed for six-year olds. A range that they had decided, in their wisdom, to call "Lolita". The Lolita midsleeper combi is the kind of PR coup that marketeers dread.

rumour has it that it was a book once, but yes, i'd settle for them having at least seen the film.
You know what, as I wrote it I thought "my friends are clever enough (and pedantic enough) that one will point out it was a book". I won't say who I was betting would be the one. But I was working on the theory that the film is rather better known.
I've read the book but not seen the film. The book was unpleasant and a bit disturbing. I certainly wouldn't buy a bed named after it. And certainly not for a child.
