If anyone can explain to me how the term "lamentable failure" is not to be seen as a criticism then I was be very grateful. You'd have to think that Hazel Blears 100% support for the Prime Minister is of the same calibre that he has often given people before they find a knife in their back.
And this comes only a few days after Peter Mandelson commented on his relationship with Blair, and arguments with Brown, irrepairably damaging his political career. I don't know if Mandelson has looked around recently but, for the record, Brown gave him a job.
With friends like these, who needs Conservatives!
