It was "A"s first day back at school today (not a private school by the way). Start of her second term. She was actually really looking forward to it, but waking up this morning was a bit of a shock for her after the holidays. In order to get her enthused I first pretended to be confused about the names of her school friends, eliciting a "silly daddy" response is always good. Then (and this might make me a slightly bad parent) I made a bet with her. I thought all her class would turn up today. She didn't think they would. It appears I lost the bet and owe her a chocolate coin.
